Welcome to our new Meet the Tech series! We’ll be showcasing our wonderful, talented Nailistas on the blog, with a series of questions designed so you can get to know them better.
On this occasion, you’ll meet Jenny. She’s based at Manchester and has been a tech with Nailista for nearly 4 years now.
How long have your been a nail technician?
I’ve been doing nails 7 years
What inspired you to get into this industry?
It was actually my mum 🙂 I always loved doing my nails and one day she just said why don’t you turn it into your career. It’s hadn’t even really crossed my mind until she gave me the idea.
What inspires you?
I love making clients happy 🙂 and knowing I’ve made their day brighter or their wedding or birthday extra special because they love their nails.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I am probably the biggest movie/series buff you will ever meet I just can’t get enough 🙂 I also have a very big obsession with true crime too. My favourite podcast right now is My Favourite Murder. I’m a Big Foodie too, I love going out for fancy meals and cocktails with my Bestie.
What are your signature nails? What colours do you like?
I would have to say I’m all about the acrylic nails, I just love the length. I have when I have them on they make me feel so girly, and colour-wise I would say pastels for me. I’m always smiling when my nails look great.
What would your dream client ask for?
Any colour but with either mermaid dust, “Game Face” or glitter on them.
What do you want to learn next?
I would like to develop my hard gel skills to become more confident.
Why do you like working at Nailista?
I’ve been there coming up to 4 years now and I would probably say I have some really great clients. It’s a lovely salon to work in and my team of girls are great, plus Natalie is a great manager and Cath (Owner) really believes in our salon and trusts us to take care of it. She’s behind us 100%, and it makes me feel proud to work there 🙂
How would you describe your personal style?
I have my own style, I love buying different pieces and putting them together to create a perfect outfit. I worked in fashion for over 7 years so I have definitely picked up tips and tricks over my time there. I know what looks good together and what key pieces are essential for your wardrobe.
