How To Celebrate Galentine’s Day in Chester

Galentine’s Day is the holiday you never knew you needed; it’s a celebration of your favourite girls, instead of a soppy love fest like it’s inspiration Valentine’s Day.

We’ve already inspired you with the best way to spend Galentine’s Day in the INTU Trafford Centre, so for all you Chester girls, here’s some hidden gems we Cestrians love.

We started our Galentine’s day at Hanky Panky Pancakes, it’s a Chester institution, you know. This cute little pancake-specialist eatery is hidden away on Commonhall Street, which is just across the road from Nailista Chester.

If you’re feeling it, go for the create-your-own style pancakes and load them with so many toppings that the server might start to look at you concernedly.

If it’s after 12 (or not.) treat yourself to a Panc-tail too. Yep, you heard, alcoholic pancake cocktails.

With our tummies full to the brim, it was time for some retail therapy. Chester has a wide range of big brands and sweet little independent boutiques, so make sure you have a good walk around the rows and side streets to find all the hot spots.

We went to Lush Chester to get ourselves some packaging-free shampoo bars and then hopped on the plant trend and bought some new leafy friends from Wild.

Wild is our favourite Chester florist, situated on Lower Bridge Street.

When you’re ready to drop from too much shopping, head to Nailista on Bridge street. If it’s a Tuesday in February, you can take advantage of manicures for you and your bestie with 15% off each! Don’t forget to read the terms and conditions.

We finished the perfect Galentine’s Day at Oddfellows, which is quite possibly one of Chester’s quirkiest, most boutique cocktail bars, then we headed via Mad Hatters tearooms for some takeaway cupcakes to keep us going on the way home!

Our video of this trip is now live on our Youtube Channel, so take a look!
